This week the European Parliament voted in favor of the free trade agreement CETA between the EU and Canada. After Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States, European countries worry that trade relations with America might suffer, so America’s neighbor to the north has become even more interesting as a trading partner. On Friday, Canadian Prime Minister ,Justin Trudeau, visited German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin. Indeed, as our infographic shows, Germany is a prominent customer for one of Canada’s staple agricultural products - second only to the United States.
