U.S. President Donald Trump has signed a decree to restart construcion on the contended Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines. As our infographic shows, pipeline mileage in the U.S. has increased during the past 10 years. Most carry petroleum or refined petrol products, so-called highly volatile liquids (such as liquefied natural gas) and crude oil.
