NATO
The U.S. Army has rotated its first armored brigade into Eastern Europe as part of America’s commitment to supporting NATO Operation "Atlantic Resolve". Tanks, trucks and other equipment arrived on three ships late last week in the German port of Bremerhaven and have reached Poland on Thursday.
The deployment of 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, out of Fort Carson, Colorado, marks the beginning of a nine-month rotation of U.S. Army forces taking part in joint NATO exercises. Most equipment was transported onwards east through Germany into Poland by train, according to the Army.
