In the aftermath of Apple's big event on Tuesday, there's a lot of public discussion about what the real highlight of the event was. Was is the new iPhone? The Apple Watch? Or was it Apple's new mobile payment service Apple Pay?
We couldn't decide on a clear winner ourselves and so we chose to let the users of the world's most democratic website decide: Wikipedia. We used Wikipedia's page view tracking tool to figure out which newly announced Apple product received the most attention on Wikipedia since the announcement.
It turns out, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are the clear winners. The Wikipedia articles describing both phones have each been viewed more than twice as often over the past two days as the article on Apple's new smartwatch. Meanwhile Apple Pay, the only new arrival that doesn't come in shiny metal, received the least attention from Wikipedia's English-speaking users.
