Big Trouble in Little FarmVille
Zynga, the gaming company best-known for its FarmVille games, reported the results of yet another disappointing quarter yesterday. The company's revenue dropped by 34%, marking the seventh consecutive quarter of declining revenue and, to make things worse, the fifth consecutive quarter in which revenues declined by more than 30%. At $153 million, Zynga's revenue was less than half as big as it was two years ago, when the company reported its best quarter to date with revenues of $332 million. Zynga reported a net loss of $63 million, tripling last year's second quarter deficit of $15.8 million.
