Last week, the United States formally left the Paris Climate Agreement, becoming the first country to ever leave an international pact on climate change. U.S. President-elect Joe Biden has vowed to reverse several of Donald Trump's policies and he has stated that he will rejoin the Paris Climate Accord as soon as he assumes office.
According to a YouGov poll, 55 percent of U.S. adults either strongly or somewhat support rejoining the pact while 16 percent are either strongly or somewhat opposed. There is also a considerable political divide in YouGov's findings with a sizeable majority of Democrats supporting rejoining and more than half of Republicans opposed.
