Who last cleaned the bathroom in your house? If you're living with a partner of the opposite sex, the chances are it was the female side of the relationship - and always is. A recent survey by YouGov in the UK has revealed the household tasks which are done solely by the man or the woman. Unsurprisingly, there is a greater range of chores which women most often have sole responsibility for. As well as cleaning the bathroom, the survey suggested that doing the laundry and dusting are also tasks taken on alone by a majority of women.
As our infographic illustrates, men's area of expertise seems to lie firmly outside the four walls of the family home. Putting the bins out and gardening are done solely by men in 46 and 42 percent of the cases respectively. No other household task comes close, with eight of the thirteen chores featured in the survey coming in at under ten percent for men. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that men don't help out with these tasks. Indeed, while in 54 percent of households the bathroom is only cleaned by the woman, the opposite is true for 8 percent, leaving 38 percent where the task is presumably shared between the genders.
