As far as small business owners are concerned, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is the only Democratic hopeful who could beat President Donald Trump in a general election. After more than 1,200 owners were surveyed in a Gallup poll, Bloomberg was the only candidate who emerged on top when pitted against Trump.
Bloomberg pulled ahead with 52 percent of the vote, as opposed to Trump, who got 48 percent of the vote in the hypothetical election. Former Vice President Joe Biden tied with Trump at 50 percent. Former Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar and businessman Andrew Yang tied in third with 49 percent versus Trump’s winning 51 percent.
