Brexit deal or no deal: the British public's view
UK
The rare sitting of parliament at the weekend, billed as 'Super Saturday', failed to yield approval for Boris Johnson's Brexit deal. Instead, we are left with even more doubt and confusion as to the way forward, and what could lie ahead for the almost 40 month-old process. As a snap poll by YouGov showed at the end of last week, the British public is initially in favour of Parliament accepting the deal. There is no majority though, with 35 percent still unsure what they should think about the new terms - a feeling shared by some MPs, exacerbated by the government's refusal to publish its economic impact analysis in time for the vote.
