The United States and the United Kingdom have both been dealing with political turmoil at home. The U.S. has just crawled out of the longest government shutdown in history, only to arrive at a temporary solution. While the UK has been wracked by the uncertainty of Brexit proceedings, with a final decision inching closer to the March deadline to fully leave the EU.
According to a recent poll by Morning Consult, many U.S. adults believe that the current political situation in the United States is more chaotic than the UK, with 47 percent of adults believing this. Despite this, only around a third of respondents said they followed Brexit very closely or somewhat closely.
The online survey was conducted between January 24 and 25, 2019 and polled a national sample of 1,168 people in the U.S.
