Americans Get Moving Yet Obesity Remains Prevalent

In the United States over the past decade, fitness trends have caught on. According to the IHRSA Global report, there has been a 21 percent increase in gym membership among Americans. Over the same period, obesity has become more prevalent, rising by about 17 percent, according to the National Health Interview Survey. Stress levels seem to have gone down by a similar rate over the past decade as well.
