With the fallout from Donald Trump's disastrous summit with Vladimir Putin showing no signs of abating, the president reversed his remark about Russian interference in the 2016 election. He said he accepts the the conclusion of intelligence agencies that Russian meddling did take place, saying he had misspoken on Monday.
Unfortunately for Trump, the damage is done. An Ipsos analysis of the first 600,000 U.S. tweets mentioning Trump and Putin during and after their summit in Helsinki documented an overwhelmingly negative reaction. The following infographic breaks down the main themes of the Twitter conversations, showing that 21 percent of them were disapproving of Trump, 9 percent were about treason and 6 percent were about the president and Russian intelligence agencies.
