The Countries with the Most Renters
Generation Rent
New analysis from RENTCafé has shown that countries such as the UK have seen substantial increases in the number of households renting their home in recent years. While in the case of the UK, the driving force behind this increase and its total of 36.5 percent renters is the downturn in the economy, sometimes a large total is based on the housing culture of a particular country. Germans for example are, despite the strong economic climate, traditionally renters and as such have an almost majority 48.1 percent of households paying rent each month.
