Global Confidence In Trump & Putin

According to the Pew Research Center, publics worldwide are generally unfavorable towards Russia and its leader, Vladimir Putin. Critical opinions about Russia are most evident in the United States and Europe with more mixed views manifesting themselves in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Only three of the countries surveyed had a majority with a favorable view of Russia - Vietnam, Greece and the Philippines.

The following infographic shows how global confidence in Putin's ability on the world stage compares with U.S. President Donald Trump across selected countries. Faith in both leaders is high in South Africa and India while Australians just about trust Trump over Putin. In South Korea and Germany, people have more trust in Putin than Trump when it comes to world affairs.
