Shape the world of data. Your way.
Program Manager (m/f/d)
At Statista, we’re all about facts and data, for we are the world's leading business data platform.
By providing reliable and easy-to-use data as well as various data analytics products and services,
we empower people worldwide to make fact-based decisions.
Founded in Hamburg in 2007, we have quickly grown into a global company with offices in major cities
such as London, New York, and Tokyo. And we still have a lot of plans. Our constant growth does not
only prove our success, but also keeps creating new development and career opportunities for our
employees.
We value and celebrate our diverse culture. You are welcome here for who you are, no matter where
you come from, what you look like, or whether you prefer bar graphs to pie charts. Your story
matters – keep writing it as part of our team. Are you ready to join us?
What you do
- Orchestrate cross-team efforts within our product and engineering organization: coordinate and sequence a program - a set of projects and activities - across product and engineering teams at Statista to ensure synchronized, high-quality releases that enhance the customer experience.
- Drive transparency and accountability in product development: maintain an overarching program plan, integrating project plans from product and engineering as well as content teams, while communicating program status clearly at all organizational levels.
- Manage dependencies and ensure sequenced delivery: identify and manage inter-team dependencies, ensuring that tasks are executed in the correct sequence to support smooth product development and delivery.
- Remove barriers: recognize and address obstacles that impact product progress, using cross-functional relationships and escalation to keep development on track.
- Prepare the organization for product rollout: plan and coordinate activities that support Statista’s organizational readiness for new product rollouts, from launch to KPI tracking and incorporating customer feedback.
- Lead key meetings and track actions: facilitate essential working sessions, set meeting agendas with product leaders, and track action items to ensure follow-through in Statista’s product and platform development.
Who you are
- Execution excellence: multiple years in a project or program management role, with demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-phase projects. Examples of relevant experience include delivering projects on time and within scope, such as coordinating multiple product launches, content updates, or platform enhancements in a customer-focused organization.
- Stakeholder collaboration and rapport-building: proven track record of building strong working relationships across functions within a collaborative or matrixed organization. You should be comfortable initiating meetings, facilitating cross-departmental discussions, and effectively communicating program goals to ensure buy-in.
- Cross-functional coordination: at least 3-5 years of experience working with cross-functional teams. Relevant examples could include leading initiatives that require synchronizing efforts between technical and non-technical teams.
- Process improvement mindset: experience identifying and addressing process bottlenecks, ideally in a fast-paced environment where adaptive processes are key. Examples might include streamlining a project workflow to reduce delays, implementing process adjustments based on stakeholder feedback, or collaborating to optimize project hand-offs.
- Project management mastery: 5+ years of project management experience, ideally with familiarity in Agile or similar frameworks (certifications are a plus but not required).
- Adaptability in dynamic environments: you should ideally have examples of responding to changing priorities, adapting program goals to meet evolving business needs, or navigating ambiguity, ideally within a role at a growing company like Statista.
