Hamburg, Germany. On May 1, 2024, Annika in der Beek joined the Executive Committee of Statista as Chief People Officer, a part of the company’s leadership body. She is the first person to hold this position.

"I am truly delighted that Annika in der Beek has joined our team. She brings a wealth of experience and has a profound understanding of technology, digital business models, and the resulting requirements for our employees and our corporate culture – the perfect fit for Statista's People division", says Marc Berg, Chief Executive Officer of Statista.

Annika in der Beek began her professional career at the renowned management consultancy OC&C Strategy Consultants (now EY Parthenon) and then moved to Accenture, where she developed HR strategies and supported digital transformation processes in companies of various sizes.

During her time as Director of People & Organization at ABOUT YOU, Annika in der Beek accompanied the company through its IPO and helped navigate it through the COVID-19 pandemic. She also supported the implementation of the carve-out for the ABOUT YOU SaaS solutions of SCAYLE GmbH and SCAYLE Payments GmbH and promoted the establishment of Tech Hubs in Romania and Croatia. Under her leadership, the company's workforce doubled in just eighteen months, from about 700 to over 1,500 employees.

In her new role as Chief People Officer at Statista, Annika in der Beek takes on a central leadership position, where she will guide the strategic direction and operational implementation in key areas such as HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development. Additionally, she will be responsible for Office Management and make critical decisions regarding Compensation & Benefits.

"It is a privilege to now be part of Statista as the Chief People Officer. Throughout the application process, it wasn't just the founders and Marc as CEO who convinced me, but also my colleagues on the Executive Committee. Their professional competence and personal conviction, coupled with Statista's unique corporate culture, were decisive factors in my decision. I look forward to collaborating with my new team," says Annika in der Beek upon joining Statista.
