Apple could sell 10m iPhone 6 on the opening weekend
The iPhone 6 could experience a record start, according to an estimate by RBC Capital Markets. Analyst Amit Daryanani calculated that sales by the end of the first week could reach 10 million units. Apple could sell as many as 75 million new iPhones throughout the first quarter. As great as this would be for Apple, one thing is certain – every new iPhone model has experienced a better start than its predecessor. The iPhone 5S and 5C sold nine million units during their first three days. The iPhone 5 “only” managed five million units on its first day.
