As a rule, everyone who has reached the AOW pension age and lives or has lived in the Netherlands is entitled to this. It is paid under the National Old Age Pensions Act or AOW. As of 2017, roughly 50 percent of the Dutch respondents indicated that they think they are mentally capable of working in their current job until they are 67 years and three months or older.
