In 2023, people in this age group worked 31.1 hours on average. The equivalent number for the oldest age group (55 to 74 years) was 29.2 hours, whereas it only was 24.4 hours for the youngest age group, which includes students who often work part-time. The average number of weekly working hours for all age groups in the country that year was 30 hours.
