Biofuels production in Argentina amounted to 40 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2022, an increase of nearly 11.7 percent in comparison to the previous year. Production of biofuels in the South American country peaked in 2017, at 58 thousand barrels of oil equivalent daily, and has been on a mostly declining tendency since. Nevertheless, Argentina remains one of the largest producers of biofuels in South America.
