Apple iPod Touch: U.S. sales Q3 2007-Q2 2012

In the first quarter of 2008, Apple sold 0.74 million iPod Touchs in the United States. In its 2006 fiscal year, Apple sold more than 39 million iPods worldwide. In the first fiscal quarter of 2006 (October to December 2005), Apple's iPod revenues amounted to 2.91 billion U.S. dollars. In the second quarter of 2011 (January to March 2011) 18.65 million iPhones were sold worldwide.

The iPod was first developed by Apple and released onto the market back in 2001. Since the initial release, the iPod has developed and evolved and at present there are 4 different versions available on the market: the iPad Nano, iPod Shuffle, iPod touch and iPod classic.
