This statistic shows results of a 2012 survey in the United States asking whether respondents supported the use of military force with the purpose of preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons, or if would be better to avoid military conflict, even if it meant that Iran may develop nuclear weapons. Results were divided by political affiliation. 79 percent of Republican respondents were in favor of the use of military force as opposed to 61 percent of Democrats.
