Zynga games mobile DAU 2022

Social gaming platform Zynga reported 40 million daily active users via mobile in the first quarter of 2022, up from 37 million mobile DAU in the previous quarter. The company shifted to mobile-only audience metrics due to the decrease in relevance of web-based games.

Daily active users are defined as the number of individuals who played one of Zynga's games during a particular day. Under this metric, an individual who plays two different games on the same day is counted as two daily active users. Similarly, an individual who plays the same game on two different platforms (e.g. web and mobile) or on two different social networks on the same day would be counted as two. Average daily active users for a particular period is the average of the DAUs for each day during that period.
Figures for quarters prior to Q1 2022 come from previous quarterly reports.
Zynga was acquired by Take-Two Interactive in January 2022 and the transaction was completed in May 2022. Individual company reporting for Zynga metrics has been discontinued.
