In the fiscal year 2023, clubs partaking in the J. League in Japan earned about 22.89 billion Japanese yen through admission fees. The J. League is Japan's professional soccer league and is split up into three divisions, the J1, J2, and J3 leagues. The league's revenue coming from admission fees continuously increased in the surveyed period until 2019, but was low in 2020 and 2021 showing the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the soccer world in Japan. It continued its growth in 2023.
