Share of mobile users who shared their gender online Japan 2019, by age
According to a survey conducted in December 2019, more than 62 percent of Japanese smartphone and tablet users aged 70 years and above had disclosed their gender online. People of older generations were more likely to share their gender on the internet than people of younger generations. A breakdown of all surveyed types of information showed that the most commonly disclosed information among respondents was the user's gender.
