Mobile connectivity index in Sub-Saharan Africa 2019, by country
As of 2019, Mauritius, South Africa, and Ghana had the best performance regarding mobile connectivity in Sub-Saharan Africa. The countries presented scores of 65.75, 60.14, and 52.01, respectively, in the Mobile Connectivity Index. The tool measured key enablers of mobile internet adoption, such as infrastructure, affordability, consumer readiness, and content and services. Countries were scored within a range of zero to 100, where the highest score indicated better mobile connectivity.
