Use of digital tools to communicate with GPs before and during COVID-19 in Italy 2020
Do Italians use digital channels to communicate with their general practitioners? According to a survey conducted in June 2020, only 19 percent of Italians reported that they used emails to communicate with their GPs. This figure decreased to four percent during the COVID-19 emergency. This trend could be seen for all digital communication channels reported in the graph. This might be due to the fact that doctor's visits and communications slowed down during the lockdown.
