Distribution of produced face masks South Korea during coronavirus outbreak in 2020
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance in South Korea, around 80 percent of domestically produced face masks go straight into the public supply. While the government is urging mask producers to increase production and banned exports, the ministry announced that all of the 130 face mask producers have a total production output of around ten million masks per day. Due to the high demand of face mask supplies during the coronavirus outbreak, people can buy up to two face masks a week, while being divided into five groups according to their year of birth. Those groups can only buy masks on specific days during the week.
