Checking facts in Europe: avoiding fake news in 2019

In the age of fake news, Europeans are taking things into their own hands. Almost half of respondents to a 2019 survey revealed that they check facts themselves. Just under a third of those asked said they try to avoid consuming fake news by reading content on a trusted platform.
