In about 40 percent of the cases, the reason for not finishing an online order in Russia in 2018 was the need to reconsider whether a purchase was actually needed. Elevated delivery costs and long shipping periods served as reasons for interrupting an online purchase in 20 and 10 percent of the cases, respectively. A relatively smaller share of e-purchases was abandoned due to hidden costs or a seller's unreliability.
