America's Fattest States
Currently, the obesity rate is higher than 30 percent in 22 U.S. states. In 1980, no state had an obesity rate above 15 percent. Arkansas is actually the fattest state in America, according a report called "The State of Obesity: Better Policies for a Healthier America". Just under 36 percent of its population is now considered obese.
