In Burundi, about 62 percent of the population used at least basic drinking water services as of 2019. Furthermore, around 82 percent of people in Burundi had access to improved drinking water sources, which include piped water, boreholes or tubewells, protected dug wells, protected springs, rainwater, and packaged or delivered water.
