According to a survey carried out during August and September of 2021 in Colombia, 30 percent of female respondents never went out alone at night due to safety concerns, while the share of male respondents who refrained from going out alone at night stood at 14.6 percent. Less than one percent of female and male Colombians felt very safe walking alone at night.
