In 2021, Brazil was the Latin American country with the highest number of reported deaths due to tuberculosis in the region, with approximately 6,000 cases. Peru and Mexico followed that year, recording 4,000 and 2,800 tuberculosis deaths, while Bolivia's death toll due to this illness reached around 1,800 fatal cases.
