Jordan and Morocco had the highest institutional capacity score of 78 percent in renewable energy generation efforts in 2018 in the Middle East and Africa region (MENA). The overall score was established based on the market structure, policy framework, institutional capacity, and finance and investments of the renewables industry. The renewable energy business has been on the rise in the MENA region due to the measures taken by countries in the area to accelerate the implementation of renewable energy solutions.
